Level I
Feeding the Dairy Cow - Principles and Practice

This short course is aimed at post-graduates who wish to develop their knowledge of ruminant nutrition. The emphasis is on problem solving and on gaining experience of diet formulation. The course is specifically designed for those who have recently become involved in giving on-farm advice including animal nutrition advisors, veterinary surgeons and teachers.

The objectives of the course are to establish a thorough working knowledge of nutrition and diet formulation. By the end of the course delegates will be able to solve practical problems based on a knowledge of nutritional theory and devise suitable rations for dairy cows.

Level II
Feeding the Dairy Cow - Providing an on farm service

This international course is targeted at the post-experience level for delegates who have been involved in the field of dairy cow nutrition for at least five years. Knowledge of much of the material covered in the Level I course will be assumed.

Good nutritional management is central to herd health and production. As vets and nutritionists, we should be key players in monitoring herd nutrition. We believe that there is untapped opportunities based on the latest science for proactive vets, nutritionists and feed companies to significantly and profitably contribute to this area for the ultimate benefit of the farmer.
