Simple dairy herd fertility recording and monitoring

On most commercial dairy farms improvements to cow fertility are the most important steps to take to improve herd profitability. This template allows the simple recording of fertility events. For each cow the calving date is recorded and this then determined from what date the cow can be served and when intervention is needed. Once a cow is served the data at which she can be PD'ed is worked out. As the events occur and are recorded the program builds up the paramaters for analysing the herd fertility such as conception rates, days to first service, 100day in calf rates etc. I have also developed a slightly more complex template that allows you to record the date of the first oestrus (where the cow is not served) and also the initials of who inseminated the cow.
