Level II23 to 26 June 2015Feeding the Dairy Cow - Providing a full service to dairy clientsThis highly-rated course is targeted at the post-experience level for delegates who have a sound knowledge of the principles of dairy cow nutrition. A successful nutritional strategy is essential for the profitability of a dairy farm. The course aims are to provide a thorough understanding of all aspects of that strategy and how to apply them in practice. Topics include the principles and practices that govern; the choice of feeding system, feeds and diet formulation, feeding management and grazing, the monitoring of nutrition (including financial parameters) and the correction of nutritional related problems such as poor constituents and peri-parturient disease. The course is lecture based but evening sessions will be primarily dedicated to workshops to allow delegates to develop their own skills.
